Xtra Seal Mushroom Repair Plug for Radial Tires – 9 mm Stem, 57×100 mm Patch
Tire repair plug | Mushroom type, rectangular radial patch 57×100 mm | Brand: Xtra Seal | Sold per piece
In this version, the 9 mm stem is paired with an elongated patch measuring 57×100 mm — larger than the 8 mm/42×73 mm version — made specifically for radial-construction tires. The rectangular patch shape follows the direction of the reinforcing cords in a radial tire, spreading stress over a larger area than the round patch used in universal versions. The larger patch size is suited to bigger damage than the 42×73 mm version covers. This plug is meant for tube-type and tubeless tires and is designed for cold vulcanization only.
Product Description – Mushroom Plug 3-13-376
The plug is made from black rubber coated with an active vulcanizing rubber layer on the stem and on the underside of the patch. Once vulcanizing cement is applied and the plug is installed, this layer reacts chemically, bonding the plug, the cement, and the tire's inner surface into one repair. After installation, the excess stem is trimmed flush with the tread.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is this plug different from the universal mushroom plugs for radial and bias-ply tires?
The universal versions have a round head and fit both radial and bias-ply tires. The 3-13-376 instead has a rectangular 57×100 mm patch, made specifically for radial tire construction — it should not be used in bias-ply tires.
How is this plug different from the 8 mm version with a 42×73 mm patch (3-13-375)?
Both versions share the same design and are meant for radial tires only. The difference is stem diameter and patch size: 9 mm and 57×100 mm instead of 8 mm and 42×73 mm. The larger version is used for wider puncture channels and more extensive damage than the smaller patch could fully cover.
Which cements should be used with the 3-13-376?
The manufacturer recommends Xtra Seal Standard cement or Super-Blu. Cement is applied to the plug stem and to the tire's inner surface around the puncture channel, then left to dry before installation.
Who is this product for?
It's intended for tire repair shops and service centers that carry out cold vulcanization repairs with vulcanizing cement, without using a heat press.
