TR-423 Tubeless Valve
Snap-in valve for car and van wheels | Max. pressure below 4.5 bar | Sold as 1 pc.
The TR-423 is another standard snap-in valve from the TR-42x family, used on tubeless car and van wheels. The body is coated in high-quality black rubber, and the valve core is made of brass. The set includes a 17-490C valve core and a plastic cap, so the valve is ready to mount straight away. Its profile is shaped for an easier pull through the rim hole, ideally with a valve puller such as the 17-606, 17-606P, or 17-606PR.
What it's used for
Once mounted, the TR-423 holds pressure in a tubeless wheel below 4.5 bar. Before buying, it's worth comparing its dimensions with the rim's mounting hole and with other variants in the range, to make sure you're picking the right valve type for a given wheel. For extra sealing at the point where the valve meets the rim, Bead Sealer can be applied after mounting.

Frequently asked questions
How do I check if this valve fits my wheel?
Compare the rim's mounting hole against the valve's dimensions before buying. If you're unsure, you can also compare this model to other valves in the range, such as the TR-412/413/414 series, and pick the one with the right length and diameter.
What's the best tool for mounting this valve?
A valve puller — the TR-423 works with the 17-606 (metal), 17-606P (plastic), or 17-606PR (rubber-guarded) model, depending on the rim type and the fitter's preference.
Do I need extra sealant after mounting?
It's not required, but applying Bead Sealer after mounting improves the seal where the valve meets the rim, which can help on rims with a less-than-perfect surface.
What pressure can this valve handle?
The valve is rated for use below 4.5 bar, in line with typical values for rubber valves used on car and van wheels.
