What this valve is for
Unlike rubber valves that get glued or welded into a tube, the TR618A screws directly into the hole in a tubeless wheel rim. The TRCH3 core can be removed when needed, letting the tyre be filled with water to add ballast — a standard way of improving traction during heavier field work. Once filling is done, the core is screwed back in and the valve is closed with the metal cap and seal, which keeps out dirt and holds pressure.
