The V3-02-14 valve body (the GW90x140 designation refers to a 90° bend angle and a 140 mm length) is a metal, screw-on valve used on truck and farm machinery inner tubes. As with the other models in this family, it screws onto a separate connector bonded to the tube rubber, so a complete installation also calls for a connector and a sealing washer.
What this valve body is for
The system breaks down into three parts: a connector bonded to the tube (cold or hot, depending on what equipment is on hand), a sealing washer, and the valve body itself, which screws onto the connector once it's fitted. Splitting the valve this way pays off during servicing — if the body gets damaged, only that part needs replacing, without stripping and re-bonding the connector in the tube, which tends to be a hassle. The 17-490C spring-loaded core keeps the pressure in, and the cap keeps dust and moisture off it.
