Truck Tubeless Valve V3-20-07 (Ø9.7mm)

Screw-in metal valve, bent at 27° | 17-490C spring-loaded core included | Metal cap | Sold per piece

The V3-20-07 is a metal, screw-in valve built for tubeless wheels used in truck tyres. It shares its mounting hole, bend angle, and base height with the V3-20-04 and V3-20-05 (Ø 9.7 mm, 27°, 5 mm), and its length from the bend — 50 mm — sits right between those two models, giving one more option for matching a specific wheel setup.

What this valve is for

On a tubeless wheel, the valve itself — not a separate inner tube — is what keeps the air in, so its condition has a direct bearing on how airtight the whole wheel stays. The V3-20-07 screws in from outside the rim and matches a 9.7 mm mounting hole, and its low base height (5 mm) lets it sit close against the rim surface. The 27° bend angles the inflation tip to the side, which can be more convenient on certain wheel setups. A 17-490C spring-loaded core holds the pressure, and a metal cap keeps it clean between inflations.

Applications

  • Tubeless truck wheels with a 9.7 mm mounting hole
  • Wheel setups where the V3-20-05 is too short and the V3-20-04 is too long
  • Replacing a single valve without disturbing the rest of the wheel
Installation tip Measure the rim hole before installing this one — the V3-20-07 fits a 9.7 mm mounting, same as the V3-20-01, V3-20-04, and V3-20-05. Screw the valve in evenly, paying attention to which way the bend points so the inflation tip stays easy to reach once it's mounted. Afterward, checking for leaks with Xtra Seal leak detection fluid concentrate (236 ml), diluted with water at a 1:8 ratio, is worth doing — applied to the inflated tyre, it forms pink bubbles right where any air is escaping.

Frequently asked questions

How does this valve differ from the V3-20-04 and V3-20-05?

All three share the same mounting hole (Ø 9.7 mm), the same base height (5 mm), and the same 27° bend angle — the only difference is length from the bend. The V3-20-05 measures 40 mm, the V3-20-07 measures 50 mm, and the V3-20-04 measures 60 mm. It's the same shape offered in three lengths, chosen based on how much room a given wheel setup allows.

What's the point of the 27° bend?

The 27° angle points the inflation tip off to the side, making it easier to connect a pump or gauge in situations where a valve running straight out from the rim would be hard to reach.

What rims does this valve fit?

It's built for rims with a 9.7 mm mounting hole. Measuring the rim hole before ordering is worth doing to rule out a mismatch — at such a small diameter, even a slight difference matters.

Are any extra parts needed for installation?

No, beyond the valve itself with its 17-490C core and cap, which are already included. It's still worth checking the condition of the valve base and the rim hole during installation to keep the seating airtight.
