Kevlar is one of the strongest man-made materials. It is a plastic material, or more precisely a polymer from the aramid group, which is used to produce fibers with very high tensile strength.

Radial inserts are designed for after nail punctures, reinforcing and sectioning repairs in any repairable area of radial tires of cars, trucks, agricultural and construction machinery.

Radial inserts are extremely strong, yet retain a high degree of flexibility. They vulcanize chemically (cold), hot or in a two-step (chemical + hot) manner.

X-tra Seal's radial patches are made of black rubber, laid on high-quality blue active rubber, molded on a backing of "mylar" plastic, incised for easy removal.

Each radially arranged layer of cord is cut in a special "wavy" way to spread the stress over a larger area. In addition, its end is specially wrapped so that it can "float" inside the rubber without causing the insert to crack at the ends of the cord or pull away from the tire, as happens in products from other manufacturers.

Use Standard X-tra Seal adhesive or Super-Blu X-tra Seal adhesive to adhere the radial patches. After the repair is completed, it is recommended to use a patch sealant - SEALINER X-tra Seal.
